Growing
up in a home with my brother and single mom, we didn’t always have a lot of
money, but we had an amazing life! I absorbed all my mom’s money saving habits,
and learnt the value of making things yourself rather than buying them in the
store. To this day I still love doing things on the cheap, which accounts for
my love of the dollar store.
After
my son Roman turned one, I found myself without a job for the first time since
I was 15. John and I decided it would be best for me to stay home and look after
Roman, which meant we needed to tighten our belts and figure out how to live on
a single income. Two years later and I’m still at home with Roman, and we’ve
added another member to our family, our daughter Bianca.
I’m
often asked for different recipes, money saving tips, and how I made a
particular craft, so that’s why I started Spontaneously Creative. This blog
allows me to share all the things I love to do and how I do it without breaking
the bank.
